BOARDING AGREEMENT

This agreement is made between A Dogs Domain and Cats too (“ADDACT”) and the pet owner(s).

OFFICE HOURS

Monday to Saturday: 9.30am – 5:30pm

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Monday to Saturday
9:30am – 11:30am and 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Sunday: By appointment only

OUT OF HOURS

Some out of hour check-in and check-outs are available only by prior arrangement and preferably on booking.

REOPENING OF KENNELS OUT OF HOURS

Subject to ADDACT discretion.
Early check-in/check-out (7:00am - 8:00am) $50.00
Late check-in/check-out (5:30pm - 6:00pm) $50.00
Late check-in/check-out (6:00pm - 7:00pm or at ADDACT discretion) $100.00

INSPECTIONS

Inspections are by appointment only, excluding long weekends and other peak times such as school holidays.

CLOSED

Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Australia Day, Anzac Day and days in-lieu, along with selected and other dates throughout the year.

1. ACCOMMODATION

1.1 ADDACT offers standard suite boarding for both dogs and cats.
1.2 ADDACT may relocate a pet to a different suite(s) within the kennels/cattery during the boarding period.
1.3 ADDACT provide bedding, toys and food. Prescribed and special diets are catered for if supplied by owner (supplied food must be pre-portioned and labelled accordingly).
1.4 You are welcome to bring your pet’s belongings at your own risk.
1.5 All dogs are taken out of their enclosures for daily exercise with meeting the minimum requirements as stated by Agriculture Victoria: Code of Practice for the Operation of Boarding Establishments, section 6.1 Exercise: https://agriculture.vic.gov.au/livestock-and-animals/animal-welfare-victoria/domestic-animals-act/codes-of-practice/code-of-practice-for-the-operation-of-boarding-establishments
1.6 Cats have the option to frequent their private outdoor area if they choose during the day.

2. PEAK PERIODS

2.1 All dogs booked in during 'peak' periods (long weekends, school holidays, Christmas and Easter) must mix well and be able to share a kennel (twin-share) with the exception of the limited number of single suites available. We have a limited number of single suites for dogs with behaviour/social issues and for certain breeds. This is charged at $100.00/day.
2.2 If it is found that an animal is unable to share with another (due to the above reasons and/or with the original understanding that they were able to share with another) the charge is $100.00/day.
2.3 Due to the high demand over these periods, should you return early to collect your animal, the full period booked will still be charged.

3. FEES AND CANCELLATIONS

3.1 The Client must pay all Fees (less any deposit paid) prior to or at the time of admission of each Pet to ADDACT with exception to section 3.6. Payment via credit card/EFTPOS will incur a surcharge fee.
3.2 Cash, EFTPOS and most credit cards are accepted.
3.3 Payments made by electronic funds transfer shall not be deemed paid until ADDACT has received cleared funds in full.
3.4 Boarding is calculated on “a per pet, per day” basis and the client shall be charged a full days boarding:
(a) excluding the last day of the boarding period if and only when the client collects the pets from ADDACT between 9:30am – 11:30am and with the exception of public holidays or where minimum charges apply e.g. Easter and Christmas periods.
3.5 A continuous boarding period which is forty (40) days or longer shall receive a 10% discount on the fees payable.
3.6 Any bookings longer than 28 days duration, require a 50% deposit to be made prior or upon arrival, with the remainder due prior to your pet/s being released from ADDACT care.
3.7 Christmas and New Year bookings require a $200.00/pet deposit within the date specified in the email containing the deposit details or the booking is cancelled without notice. No bookings are held nor secure until the deposit is received within the above terms.
3.8 Easter bookings require a $100.00/pet deposit within the date specified in the email containing the deposit details or the booking is cancelled without notice. No bookings are held nor secure until the deposit is received within the above terms.
3.9 Cancellation of an Easter, Christmas/New Year booking incurs a non-refundable/non-transferrable $100.00 booking fee.
3.10 If the booking is cancelled more than 30 days prior to commencement of the boarding date, the client will receive a refund of deposit, minus the booking fee.
3.11 If the booking is cancelled less than 30 days prior to commencement of the boarding date, the client is not entitled to any refund.
3.12 For all bookings that are not within a peak period and cancelled within 48 hours of intended check-in date, the clientm agrees to pay a cancellation fee of $50.00 for late notice.

4. SERVICES

4.1 Medication/flea/worm treatment: Must be in original packaging and clearly labelled. $2.00 per administration. Please note, we are unable to cater for dogs or cats requiring medication via injection.
4.2 Grooming: A complimentary hydro-bath is given to dogs who board longer than four (4) days.
4.3 Meals: ADDACT supply premium meals for all our boarders. Prescribed and special diets are catered for if supplied by owner (supplied food must be pre-portioned and labelled accordingly).
4.4 Home pickup and delivery charges: $70.00/pet, each way on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings between 7:00am - 8:30am excluding Public Holidays (subject to change). Animals delivered are charged for the day they are delivered.

5. CONSENT TO USE DIGITAL MEDIA

The client authorises and permits ADDACT to:
5.1 Photograph and/or record videos of any pet during the boarding period and to use, copy and/or distribute the digital content for any purpose (including but not limited to any advertising in any form whether on ADDACT’s website, brochures, social media platforms etc).

6. GENERAL BOARDING CONDITIONS

6.1 No animal will be admitted to the kennels and cattery unless proof of suitable current vaccination has first been provided. Dogs require a minimum of C5 vaccination. This vaccination covers distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, para influenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica. Please note: Dogs that receive the 3 yearly vaccination (triennial) must still have a yearly canine cough vaccination. Cats require a minimum of an F3 vaccination which covers Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu. If a vaccination has been missed, it must have been administrated at least 14 days prior to entry.
6.2 In accordance with the Victoria’s ‘Code of Practice for the Operation of Boarding Establishments’ ADDACT shall not admit to the facility any pet for boarding which is:
(a) in the case of a dog, be less than four (4) months old and/or
(b) in the case of a cat, be less than three (3) months old other than in exceptional circumstances.
6.3 In the event that any pet is found to have flea’s, ticks or the like, ADDACT reserves the right to require the pet to be washed and treated as deemed appropriate, with all associated costs incurred by ADDACT to be reimbursed by the customer at the time of check-out.
6.4 ADDACT reserves the right to refuse entry of any animal and may also ask the owner to collect their pet prior to the departure date if the animal is aggressive and unable to be managed by staff.
6.5 The Proprietors of ADDACT or their agents may at their discretion obtain veterinary treatment for any animal in their care and charge costs of such treatment to the owners of the animal(s) concerned.
6.6 All reasonable care will be provided by the Proprietors and their agents, but no liability will be accepted by them in respect of any illness, injury, death or loss occurring to any animal in their care.
6.7 Should any animal not be claimed by the arranged date, the Proprietors or their agents may dispose of the animal in accordance with part 5 - 66 of the Domestic (Feral and Nuisance) Animal Act 1994.
6.8 The owner of the dog consents to their dog being housed in shared accommodation (twin-share), maximum two (2) per pen unless single boarding is requested (subject to availability/extra charges may apply). Up to three (3) dogs from the same household can share if normally housed together and with approval of owner(s).
6.9 When boarding your animals with ADDACT, you agree to the terms and conditions as outlined on www.adogsdomain.com.au (subject to change without notice).
